Podiatry

Podiatry is a branch of medicine to the study of diagnosis, medical and surgical treatment of disorders of the foot, ankle.  A podiatrist specializes in the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of foot disorders, diseases and injuries.  Some of the conditions that a podiatrist would treat include bone and joint disorders such as arthritis, skin and nail disorders, corns, calluses and ingrown toenails.  Foot injuries and infections gained through sport and other activities are also diagnosed and treated by a podiatrist.
